Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara
Our journey begins in the historic city of Fez, where we immerse ourselves in the fascinating history and rich culture of Morocco as we explore its ancient medina and stunning monuments. From Fez, we head southeast towards the Merzouga desert.
During the trip, we pass through spectacular landscapes, including the Atlas Mountains and picturesque Berber villages. Upon arrival in Merzouga, we marvel at the immensity of the golden sand dunes and prepare for a unique desert experience. In the afternoon, we enjoy an exciting
camel ride through the dunes and settle into a Berber camp to spend the night under a starry sky.
Day 2: Explore the Merzouga region – Nomads – Khamlia – Lake Merzouga – Erg Chebbi
After enjoying a magical sunrise in the desert, we have the whole day to explore Merzouga and its surroundings. We can opt for exciting activities such as sandboarding in the dunes, a quad bike ride in the desert or a visit to a nearby oasis.
We can also take the opportunity to learn about the culture and traditions of the Berber nomads who inhabit the region, and enjoy a delicious traditional dinner under the stars. In the evening, we retire to our Berber camp for a second night in the desert.
Day 3: Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate: Journey through the film landscapes
After saying goodbye to Merzouga, we head towards Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert and the film capital of Morocco. Along the way, we pass through stunning landscapes, including the famous Draa Valley and the spectacular Todra Canyon.
Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, we explore this fascinating city and visit iconic sites such as the stunning Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We also have the opportunity to visit the Atlas Film Studios, where numerous films and television productions have been shot. In the evening, we settle into our accommodation in Ouarzazate and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the city.
Day 4: Ouarzazate – Kasbah de Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech: End of Journey
On our last day, we bid farewell to Ouarzazate and head towards Marrakech, the jewel of Morocco. Along the way, we pass through picturesque villages and breathtaking landscapes as we approach the bustling city.
Upon arrival in Marrakech, we immerse ourselves in the city’s vibrant energy as we explore its bustling Jemaa el-Fna square, lush gardens and labyrinthine souks. In the evening, we settle into our Marrakech accommodation
and soak up the city’s unique atmosphere.
